Today we're shipping Calibration: the ability to start a live session with Superposition for any role. Superposition reviews the complete history of the search: everyone contacted, who interviewed, and the feedback and notes left along the way. It forms an opinionated view of where the search is stuck, and where what you like, in practice, has diverged from who you thought you wanted in theory.

I was a recruiter for seven years, so I know that the shape of your ideal candidate changes as soon as you start talking to real people. Keeping track of those insights is hard, especially in a large team. You may have several people across TA and multiple hiring managers working on the role and speaking to candidates.

Multiplayer hiring is hard to track

A hard role can pass through a lot of hands. The recruiter knows who replied. The hiring manager remembers why a near miss was still a no. Each interviewer saw a different side of the person. Even when the notes and transcripts are sitting in the ATS, nobody has necessarily turned all those decisions into one view.

It gets worse when the role changes hands or several people are sourcing and interviewing at once. Everyone can be right about the part they saw while the team still has no clear picture of what is working.

If you hand a role to a recruitment agency, most of that history gets reduced to a brief and a kickoff call. Your ATS has this context, but sourcing tools can’t reason over it or use it to inform the search.

Superposition reviews its full history before the kickoff: the candidates, interviews, feedback, notes, and transcripts already there. The first session starts with what the team has learned instead of asking you to explain the role again from memory.

This also works at any point on a role already running in Superposition. Open Calibration whenever the search has changed, the pipeline has stalled, or the team needs to agree on who to target next.

How to use Calibration

Superposition opens with its diagnosis of the search so far, then talks through the most noteworthy candidates that made it far into your funnel. You use this context to refine the shape of your ideal candidate, informed by the reality of who you've been speaking with rather than abstract ideas.

If the role is still in your ATS, connect it to Superposition and import the role first. Superposition will review the candidates, interviews, feedback, notes, and transcripts before your kickoff, then start the same Calibration session with that history already loaded.

Calibrate your next search

Go to Jobs and choose the role you want to revisit. Open Job Details, find the Calibrate the agent card, and click Open calibration.
